Wonderful Waffles

Everyone will gather around the breakfast table for these irresistibly light and fluffy waffles, drizzled with pure Canadian maple syrup, melted butter or jam. Or serve them up with a scoop of ice cream, a dollop of whipped cream and fruit for a scrumptious dessert.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 egg yolks
- 1-1/4 cups milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 4 egg whites
Cooking Instructions
- In a large bowl sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Make a well in the center of the bowl.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the egg yolks, milk, and oil. Pour into well of flour mixture and stir just until ingredients are moistened.
- In a small bowl beat egg whites until stiff. Fold into batter.
- Cook batter in waffle iron.
