Brown rice is infused with warm pumpkin pie spices for a comforting twist on an everyday side dish.

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
  • 1¾ cups water
  • ½ tesapoon salt
  • 1 cup instant brown rice

Cooking Instructions

  1. In medium saucepan over medium heat melt butter. Add pumpkin pie spice, stirring, about 30 seconds, or until fragrant.
  2. Add water, salt and rice. Bring water to a boil. Cover and reduce to a simmer. Cook 10 to 12 minutes, or until water is absorbed.

Make it Faster

  • Ready-to-Eat rice can be used in place of the instant brown rice. Just melt the butter, add the spice and mix it into the heated rice.
