Pecan Pie

Pecan pie couldn't be easier to make. Start at the top of the ingredient list and work your way down by dumping everything in one bowl. Give them a twirl to mix and voila; the filling is ready to pour into the crust and be baked.
Ingredients
- 3 large eggs, at room temperature
- 1 cup dark corn syrup
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 6 ounces (1½ cups) pecans
- 1 recipe for single pie crust dough
Cooking Instructions
- Heat oven to 350 degrees F. In a bowl mix eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar, butter and salt to combine. Add pecans and stir to combine. Pour into unbaked pie shell.
- Bake 50-60 minutes, or until just set in the middle. Cool on rack at least 1 hour.
Substitution(s)
- White sugar can be used in place of brown sugar
