Hearty Homemade Chicken Soup

This satisfying soup is quick and easy to make to take care of a cold or simply take the chill off a winter's day. Keep this convenient recipe on hand and you'll never resort to canned soup again.

Ingredients

  • 1 boneless chicken breast half, cooked and diced
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 1 zucchini, diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon chicken broth base

Cooking Instructions

  1. Put cooked chicken meat and water in a large pot and bring to a boil.
  2. Add the carrots, zucchini and garlic and simmer all together for 5 to 10 minutes.
  3. Add the chicken broth and simmer for an additional 5 minutes. Serve.
