  • Froot Loop Fruit Snacks by Brach's
  • Kitchen scissors

Cooking Instructions

  1. Follow the directions on the cake mix box to create a layer cake.
  2. Note: If you wish, bake in 9x13-inch pan and cut to make a layer cake.
  3. Let the cake cool completely.
  4. Frost the cake, be sure to put a layer of frosting between the layers.
  5. Use the Fruit by the Foot to make ribbons on the cake.
  6. On the tails of the ribbons, make a V cut on each. (see photo)
  7. To make the bow, simply cut the Fruit by the Foot into a strip and curl to make a circle. Make 2 small circles, 1 large circle, and 2 circles slightly smaller than the large circle.
  8. Cut a piece of the Fruit by the Foot to use as the ribbon to hold the circles all together.
  9. Pinch the 3 largest circles together in the middle. (see photo)
  10. Place one smaller circle on either side of the pinched circles. Hold on to only the inside closest to the other circles (do not pinch in both sides). (see photo)
  11. Run the ribbon though the circles to hold together. Pinch to adhere.
  12. Lay the bow on top of the cake in the middle.
  13. Use the Froot Loop Fruit Snacks on the open area of the cake for decoration.
  14. Place birthday candles inside the Froot Loop Fruit Snacks.
