Rice with Orange Peel

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated orange peel
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups instant white rice
  • ½ teaspoon salt

 

Cooking Instructions

  1. In medium pot heat oil over medium-high heat until shimmers. Add orange peel. Immediately add water, rice, and salt.
  2. Bring to a full boil. Remove from heat and cover. Let stand 5-7 minutes or until all the water is absorbed. Fluff and serve.

Substitution(s)

  • Any quick-cooking white or brown rice can be used in place of the instant white rice.
