Just for Dad Weekly Meal Plan

Menu: Mexican Fiesta

By Rosemary Hutchinson and Paul Krantz

Mexican Fiesta Menu

Make the night you plan to serve the Mexican menu a family fun night. Let the youngsters draw special place mats for the table and turn dessert into a family activity. The kids can help you make the churro batter. Then Dad and the kids can toss the fried churros in the cinnamon and sugar. The best part is munching the churros while they’re still warm. After dinner, choose a favorite board game to play.

Top Tip: Churros are sweet fried dough treats similar in flavor to doughnuts but in the shape of a ridged baton. Originally from Spain, churros are a popular snack in Mexico. If you can't find them at your grocery store, look for them in a Mexican food shop.
